Stamp in the form of a Pelican
Uncertain, Peru
Buff pottery
W: 3.125 in. (7.9375 cm)

A conical handle projects from the back. Stamps were used to apply body paint and to apply decoration to textiles. Possibly a water fowl, such as a pelican, cormorant, gannet, or gull.
